Seriously, what good did the report do, except line the pockets of DLA Piper US, LLP to the tune of millions of dollars. I am not sure why Bud Selig and the baseball powers felt compelled to commission this report. Yes, Mr. Mitchell made recommendations to Mr. Selig. He also named many people, some surprising (Andy Pettite), some we already knew (Jose Canseco), and some laughable (Nook Logan). I hope this quells the "National Enquirer" in people. Frankly, the only thing I took from the 409 page novel is that Bud Selig should resign.
Miami Dolphins
Was it just me, or did anyone else get upset when Greg Camarillo went 64 yards for the winning touchdown in the Dolphins first win. It seems like if you start a season 0-13, then at least go down in history as the first 0-16. You would think they would want to be remembered for something. Now, they are almost just like the Lions.
University of Michigan
So Bill Martin and company stole another coach from West Virginia. At first glance, this looks like a good hire for the football program. The offensive philosophy will change tremendously. Ryan Mallett might not have a job come next spring. This will be a much needed change from the predictable, run, run, pass, etc. Let's just hope Rodriguez's Michigan teams play better defense than his teams from Morgantown.
High School Basketball
Looking forward to seeing Brad Redford and his Frankenmuth Eagle teammates swoop down to Vassar to take on the Vulcans. Game time is 7:30 p.m. Listen for Jon Sicotte and myself on WIDL 92.1 FM.
